Developing a new generation of sovereign leaders
where it`s needed most – a breakthrough experience
for Kenyan talents and coaches from abroad

Participants` voices

35 highly talented future Kenyan leaders, all of them scholarship alumni of NPO Aiducation, our team of 7 executives and us acting as coaches – our 5-day Lead Your Self Academy was designed to start living up to one`s full potential. Starting with defining the individual purpose, understanding behavioural styles and learning emotional intelligence for better self-management we enabled the talents to step up as a sovereign leader.

Here are some participants` voices about their experience in our Academy – deep, speaking from the heart…

Jimmy Tune, Entrepreneur, CEO Crosstown Courier Ltd in Nairobi, reflecting on Leonard Cohen`s poem: “There is a crack in everything, this is where the light gets in. Now, with this programme I am filled with light”… “I have found some gold in me that I didn`t know I have”…

Wairimu Mwangi, Student of Psychology at Nairobi University, sharing that it has been “life changing for me and everyone”… “now I know myself! Before it was like you walk around in the desert and now you found an oasis”…

Simon M. Rick, Entrepreneur, CEO Backyard Kuku Ranch in Kenya, starting with a quote by Mark Twain “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why”… and “in this Academy I found out why I was born”…

Coaches` voices

We started the journey with a train-the-trainer workshop to embark our team of 7 coaches. A big Thank You to the wonderful coaches Liz Wamuchiru, Mburu Tuni, George Jilani, Robert Mwaura, Joseph Kongoro, Florian Kapitza and Kamau Irungu – all of them executives, here acting as coaches: You did such a great work in listening, encouraging, experimenting, mentoring!

These 7 executives joined us to work jointly for an amazing group of Kenyan talents – students and young entrepreneurs – throughout 5 days focusing on “Lead You Self”. It was great to have you among the coaches at our Leadership Academy – we feel enriched and blessed!

Joseph Kongoro, independent Management Consultant, prior at Ernst & Young, acting as a Coach at the DierkeHouben Leadership Academy, shared his experience: “It has been a total turning point for me as a leader”, “very eye-opening” and “somewhat a refinement process like when you put gold into fire”.

Kai and I are grateful for a wealth of fullfilling, precious experiences, images and situations in our hearts and minds. And we are looking forward to our next DierkeHouben Leadership Academy in February 2022.

If you are interested to join us acting as a coach in our next Academy in Kenya in 2022, you are very welcome. Just reach out to us! It is such an enriching lifetime experience.

And it is a win-win-win for everyone: For you developing yourself as a sovereign Leader, for Kenyan future leaders to step into purpose and self-awareness – and for our philantropic initiative, supporting NPO Aiducation and the AiduAlumni in Kenya.

By the way – this is Dololo. We adopted this elephant orphan in Sheldrick`s Wildlife Trust in Nairobi already in 2018. And we visited him in 2020 again. In such a caring environment this baby elephant now thrives magnificently.
